SIENTE MÉXICO – Experience a taste of the real Mexico. That is the philosophy of authenticity behind our products.

The first step to reach this goal involved a giant leap across 6,000 miles of ocean and mountains. In 1986, my mother María Dolores left her native Mexico together with my father and their two children to settle in Switzerland, my father’s home. Though the foreign country soon felt like a beloved second home to my mother, what she missed most were the special ingredients, flavours and textures of her Mexican cuisine.

Authentic products such as the typical Mexican sauces or “salsas”,  however, were hard to come by. So my mother tied an apron around her waist and started cooking her own salsas according to old family recipes.

In 1995, she began to sell her creations at market stalls in Zurich and Bern, followed by selected delis across the country. Today, we return to Mexico to produce our salsas and other specialities such as “mole” or “nopalitos”, a delicacy made from nopal cactus pads, right at the source. Everything is freshly made with carefully selected premium ingredients – without any preservatives, artificial colours or flavour enhancers. Everything just the way we like it!
